On June 3, after the review of the Sino- Russian secretariats of the Alliance of Sino-Russian Technical Universities, it was agreed that our university would join the alliance as an observer unit of the Sino-Russian Alliance of Technical Universities, officially becoming an observer unit of the alliance. So far, the alliance has attracted 75 universities from China and Russia, including 56 formal member units and 19 observer units.
The Association of Sino Russian Technical Universities ,hereinafter referred to as "ASTU"was established in 2011, led by Harbin Institute of Technology and Moscow Bauman National University of Technology. It is a non-profit organization formed on a voluntary basis by the elite engineering universities of China and Russia, creating a precedent for the alliance of similar Chinese and Russian universities, and incorporated into the working mechanism and framework of the national "China Russia humanities cooperation committee", It has set an example for the cooperation between similar universities in China and Russia. The Chinese universities in the alliance include 4 universities of C9 alliance, 16 universities of "Project 985", 16 universities of world-class university construction (Class A), as well as the University of Macao, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Russian universities include 16 national research universities, 5 federal universities and 12 "5-100" plan universities.
Our university has always attached importance to the exchange and cooperation with Russian Universities. Among them, we have maintained close cooperative relations with Russian Universities and scientific research institutions, such as Irkutsk National Research University of Technology, Belgorod National University, National University of Geological Exploration, Kuzbas National University of Technology, and carried out extensive exchange and cooperation in the fields of teacher-student exchange, joint training of students, joint scientific research and negotiation on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The Alliance of Sino- Russia of Technical Universities gathers the elite universities of China and Russia. Joining the alliance will develop the "point-to-point" exchanges between our university and Russian Universities into "many to many" exchanges between universities, promote national scientific, technological and cultural exchanges through exchanges between universities, and promote people to people and mutual learning of civilizations.
Taking the opportunity of joining the Allicance of Sino- Russia Technical Universities, our university will actively promote and carry out China Russia talent exchange and scientific and technological cooperation, accelerate the "double first-class" construction and open school running process of the University, promote the common development of the member universities of the alliance, and strive to contribute to the higher education cooperation between China and Russia.
