On November 17th, at the invitation of Oleg N. Polukhin, president of Belgorod State University, Russia, a delegation of six experts, headed by President and Professor Liang Bing, participated in the 5th International Youth Summit Forum of the University of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2020 organized by Belgorod State University, Russia, via video conference
Liang Bing, addressing the forum on behalf of our school, stressed that the youth play an important role in the development of the world today, and young people from all over the world should unite, carry out exchanges, work tirelessly for human progress, strive to promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations around the world, and constantly enhance mutual understanding and friendship. She also expressed the vision of more extensive and pragmatic cooperation between the two institutions in the future in the areas of personnel training, academic exchanges and cultural friendship.
This forum was affected by the international epidemic and was conducted by way of online video. The Forum, with the theme of international youth interaction in the context of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, was hosted by Russian Belgorod State University, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russian Ministry of Science and Education, the State Duma, the SCO Youth Committee, the Russian Youth Union, the All-Russian Union of University Students, the Association of Foreign Students and other institutions, while the leaders from universities and research institutes of the six SCO member states attended the meeting and spoke.
During the meeting, the heads of relevant departments, such as the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the School of Safety Science and Engineering, the School of Electronic and Information Engineering and the China-Russia Cultural Exchange Center, participated in two special presentations of the International Youth Project Strategy Conference, listened to the reports of relevant experts and scholars and participated in the discussion.
