On the afternoon of October 15, our university and Aktobe National University of Kazakhstan held a video conference on cooperation and exchange in the meeting room of the main building of Zhonghua Road Campus. This is the first time that our school held an international cooperation and exchange video conference. President Liang Bing attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Xu Ping, a member of the University Party Committee, director of the Teaching Affairs Office, and responsible persons of relevant functional departments and colleges attended the meeting.
President Liang Bing expressed cordial greetings to the representatives of Aktobe National University of Kazakhstan who attended the meeting. She said that there are many similarities between the two schools in terms of historical development, comprehensive school running and personnel training. Both schools shoulder the mission and task of serving regional and industrial economic development. In the future, the two sides will carry out substantive exchanges and cooperation in combination with their own characteristics, deepen mutual understanding, complement each other's advantages and get win-win cooperation. Two universities will focus on cutting-edge technologies in major disciplines of the University, carry out teacher-student exchanges, academic research, and scientific and technological cooperation, and vigorously promote stable improvement of talent cultivation quality and rapid revitalization of regional economy of the two countries.
Bekebawuova, vice president of Aktobe National University of Kazakhstan, first expressed her thanks to the Chinese delegates who attended the meeting. She highlighted the school's scale, faculty and professional characteristics, and expressed her willingness to cooperate in mining, materials, construction, telecommunications, environment and software in the future. She hoped that the two sides would start from scientific research cooperation and gradually carry out talent training and teacher-student exchanges.
Aktobe National University is one of the most influential higher education institutions in western Kazakhstan, which has a history of 85 years. The major of the school mainly includes: education, natural science, humanities, law, art, social science and commerce, science and technology etc. In 2015, the university won the title of “Best Educational Institution” in Aktobi region for the second time. In 2018, it ranked the fourth among the top 100 universities in Kazakhstan.
