On October 7, School of International Education organized more than 100 overseas students to visit Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, on the theme of "Promoting the Spirit of Sand Control". They visited the miracle of desert, namely, Zhanggutai Thousands of Pine Forest, Zhanggutai National Sandy Land Forest Park and Fuxin Silica Sand Products Exhibition.

Through this social practice activity, the foreign students learned the whole process of the people's sand fixation afforestation experiment and the study of the improvement and utilization of sandy land in Fuxin. They praised the positive effects of strengthening greening and preventing desertification from expanding. They also praised the ecological landscape in Zhanggutai Sandy Land Forest Park, which combines the desert wonder with the artificial forest and sea ingeniously. At the Silica Sand Products Exhibition, foreign students listened carefully to professional explanations, and became interested in the application of Silica Sand in foundry sand, building materials and new energy materials.

This activity has played a positive role in improving the overseas students' awareness of China's society, educating them to learn and carry forward the spirit of sand prevention and control.
