At the invitation of Russian National University of Bergorod and the Russian National Geological Prospecting University, deputy-president Zhou Zhiqiang and his delegation visited Russian universities from May 30 to June 3. Yang Shaobin, dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nan Jingchang, dean of School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Sun Wei, dean of School of International Education, and Wang Li, director of the Sino-Russian Cultural Exchange Center, accompanied.

During his visit to Bergorod State University in Russia, Vice President Zhou Zhiqiang and his delegation participated in the 4th International Youth Summit Forum of University of Shanghai Cooperation Organization held by Bergorod State University in 2019. Zhou Zhiqiang, speaking on behalf of our university at the opening ceremony of the forum, stressed that for a long time, our university has carried out extensive exchanges and cooperation with the universities of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, especially with the Bergorod State University, which has carried out close cooperation and achieved remarkable results in the field of student credit transfer projects. In the future, the two sides will carry out more extensive and pragmatic cooperation in personnel training, academic exchanges, cultural friendship and inheritance, and work hand in hand to seek common development and create a better future. In addition, our delegation and vice-president of Foreign Affairs, B. Kuchmistey, and Constantine dean of School of Engineering Technology and Digital Technology, had friendly talks. The two sides agreed to further expand the number of advanced students, improve the knowledge system and enhance academic ability. Representatives of the two universities signed the Cooperation Agreement between Liaoning Technical University and Bergorod State University. The delegation also held a special discussion with 10 students from School of Materials Science and Engineering of the Bergorod State University.
