On April 4, our school held the launching ceremony of the "Silk Road" program of Chinese Government Scholarship.
Xu Ping, a member of the Party Committee of the university and Dean of School of International Education, expressed great expectations for the 18 students from Uzbekistan, hoping that they would "learn and do something". The dean of School of Mining, the representatives of teachers and students made statements respectively.
The "Silk Road" Chinese government scholarship project was first established by the Ministry of Education in 2017, aiming to train leading talents and excellent skilled talents in the basic energy industry for all countries along the belt. Our school, in cooperation with China Coal Science and Engineering Group and Uzbekistan National Coal Corporation, takes the advantages and characteristics of mining engineering discipline as the basis, takes the “One Belt and One Road” strategy as the starting point, and takes training professional leaders in mining development for Uzbekistan as the goal, and also jointly apply the project "Uzbekistan's Urgent Shortage of" Excellent Mining Engineers ". After one year's study of Chinese language, 18 students in Uzbekistan are going to study for a three-year master's degree.
