From October 29 to 30, 16 Chinese Government Scholarship students from Russia, Vietnam, Mongolia，Pakistan and Liberia participated in the social practice and cultural experience activity of "Reading China in 2018- Healthy Liaoning" sponsored by the National Overseas Study Fund Management Committee. The activity was sponsored by Jinzhou Medical University, Liaoning Technical University, Liaoning Industrial University and Bohai University assisted, a total of 90 Chinese Government Scholarship students from 26 countries to particiate in the two-day event.

The theme of this activity was "Healthy Liaoning". Foreign students will focus on understanding the development of healthy industry and the achievements of ecological protection in Benxi of Liaoning Province. During the activity, students visited the planting base of ginseng under forest, Tianshili Modern Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd., Milan Wine Industry and other enterprises, and experienced the process of ice wine production and ginseng digging.

The "Healthy Liaoning" campaign aimed to enable international students to experience the revitalization of Northeast China, the beauty of China, enhance their love of China and their enthusiasm for learning and employment in Liaoning and China , give full play to the influence of international communication, encourage more international students to study in China, and expand the sustainable development of harmonious education in Liaoning Province.

The series of activities of "Reading China" is a kind of social practice and cultural experience activities for Chinese government scholarship students sponsored by the National Overseas Study Fund Management Committee. Since 2015, more than 16,000 foreign students have participated in this activity in China, which has achieved remarkable results and has been highly recognized by the leading comrades of the Central Committee. In 2018, the activity was included in the overall plan of the Ministry of Education's endeavour.
