Calligraphy is a traditional Chinese art. In order to improve international students' interest in Chinese characters and carry forward Chinese traditional culture, the School of International Education held a calligraphy competition in the Classroom 409 of Boya Building in the afternoon of June 7th. The contents of calligraphy competition were selected by themselves and they chose their favourite ancient Chinese poetry.
This competition not only carried forward the Chinese traditional culture, but also let the students feel the beauty of Chinese characters in practice, enjoyed the beauty of writing and poetry, It improved their writing ability and showed the achievements of learning. Foreign students have always maintained high learning enthusiasm and strong interest in exploration, and each student competed his own calligraphy works independently. Sharof Ogli Dexqonboy Arifov of Uzbekistan won the first prize in the competition.
Through the calligraphy competition, it not only inspired the interest of the students to write the Chinese characters, but also enriched the cultural life of the students in the campus. It is also beneficial to display the charm of calligraphy and carry forward the rich cultural background of the Institute of international education.
