On October 31st, our international students from Uzbekistan, Russia, Vietnam, Mongolia, Yemen ,Pakistan ,Liberia ,India and other
countries gathered in Classroom 409 of Boya Building to enjoy and experience the charm of Chinese calligraphy art.
The calligrapher Hou Guangxun immediately instructed the students and did some inscription for them. She guarded the students with the usage of the brush and ink, which immediately enabled them to start using the brush and ink to paint awesome calligraphy. Uzbekistan student Wumida’s work "I love China" obtained favorable comments from other students.
Chinese calligraphy art is extensive and profound, and is a sign of Chinese culture. For foreign students, the frequent practicing of calligraphy does not only make them feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture, but also creates the enthusiasm for writing Chinese characters and promote the learning of Chinese.
