There were no empty seats in the second floor of the international convention center at 2:00 PM on December 24,2016.The hundreds of students and foreign teachers celebrated the Christmas and the New Year holidays together who come from the America, Russia, South Africa, Pakistan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Congo(Kinshasa) and more than 20 countries. The vice president Zhang Zuogang, the director of the office of international exchange and cooperation Xu Ping, the representative of the Chinese teacher and the other leaders and guests of our university to attend.
The celebration officially opened with the two-festival congratulatory speech to the students and foreign teachers by the director of the office of international exchange and cooperation Xu Ping. The director Xu Ping expressed warm greetings to all the foreign students and teachers, and gave sincere gratitude to the leaders, the second class college, the tutors of the foreign students, Chinese teachers and the staff who gave great concern and support to the international exchange and cooperation. The vice president Zhang Zuogang awarded the certificates of awarding and completion to two outstanding scholarship recipients(Pakistan Mohammed, Vietnamese Shao Yang) who were selected by the Ministry of Education in 2016 and 15 Sino-Russian transfer students.
At the party, Chinese and foreign students gave a wonderful and exotic theatrical performances side by side, Salsa who come from the Mongolia took the whole show into the climax by an explosive spectacular Mongolian dancing. It made the whole show laugher that were the cheerful solo of the Russian student, the ballet performance, the small chorus of Vietnamese students, the song of friendship between China and Pakistan by the Pakistani students, the playing guitar of the Liberian student, the playing pipa  and the flute solo of the Chinese students and so on, and the games of the “grab a chair”, “step on the balloon” in the middle of the party. Although the foreign students are living in a foreign land, away from their relatives, the festive atmosphere of the scene infected everyone, and they deeply feel that Liao Ning Technical University is their warm home. Finally, the Vietnamese student Ruan Dezhan brought a  song named “where is the time go” to make the students in tears. With the time passing, the growth of students, they are more appreciative of the kindness of the teachers and students in Liao Ning Technical University, and realize that it not only bring them the valuable knowledge, but also an unforgettable spiritual wealth in Liao Ning Technical University.
