From June 11 to 12, Russian Embassy Counselor Podolkov and the representative of Asia-Pacific region of State-owned group company of Russian Federation ROSTECK, Dr. Hou Dong came to our university to visit. The president Prof. Wang Jiren, the vice president Prof. Liang Bing, the dean of mining college Prof. Zhang Hongwei, the director of office of international exchange and cooperation  Prof. Xu Ping, the director of finance  Prof. Zai Cuixia and other leaders presented the meeting.
The president Wang Jiren expressed his warm welcome to Podolkov visiting, and both sides reviewed the results of the exchanges and cooperation achieved in the past year. The president Wang stressed that the foundation of the construction of world-class disciplines was the talent, only the two-way personnel had frequent exchanges, it would crash out of the spark of thought. He hoped that Mr. Counselor as always promoted  the Liao Ning Technical University to have exchanges with the Russian universities including the National geological exploration University of  Moscow on science and technology and cultural. The Counselor Podolkov spoke highly of the proposal and Pragmatic action on building the world-class discipline between the two universities. During the talks, the two sides took the in-depth discussion about setting up chemical research institutes, students' joint training, jointly holding academic conferences, jointly organizing academic journals and other specific contents on the basis of major scientific and technological platforms, and determined several cooperation points.
Accompanied by president Wang, Podolkov also visited the Hu Ludao Campus.
